The National Gallery Trip
The Supper at Emmaus, 1601. Lighting is particularly important in this image as it draws you to different elements of the image.
Belshazzar's Feast, 1636-8. This image has a significant amount of light at the top right of the image therefore drawing your attention to that part of the image, but it also drags the light across the whole images therefore diverting your attention across the whole painting.
A Lady with a Squirrel and a Starling, 1526. For this image colour is used to separate the background from the subject which ensures every aspect of the painting can be clearly seen.
Portrait of Susanna Lunden, 1622. This image has a significant natural posed model which is aesthetically pleasing on the eye.
